Norwells is a family business serving Robin Hood's Bay and the surrounding area in North Yorkshire. Established in 2002 by Danny Norwell and his wife, Libby. We pride ourselves on supplying bespoke furniture as well as plumbing, holiday cottage maintenance, kitchen and bathroom renovation, window and door replacement as well as general building work.
Please look through the portfolio on these pages to see actual pictures of a small selection of the work we have undertaken, Obviously, there is not enough space to do justice to everything we have accomplished. Therefore, if you need something making out of wood or want some building work undertaken, please consider contacting Norwells, who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you and provide you with a free estimate.
Danny is a qualified apprentice-trained Cabinet Maker with over 40 years' experience, who has created countless pieces of furniture (not just cabinets!) and many other items out of wood Including sliding-sash windows, which is one of his specialties. In addition he has branched out (so to speak!) into building work, namely property development, maintenance and renovation and can also turn his hand to plumbing and basic electrical jobs. Over the years, he has built up a long list of clients who regularly use his services, many of whom are holiday cottage owners, who know they can rely on Danny to respond to an emergency call-out to their cottages, if necessary.
Libby is the Office Administrator for Norwells and, as the name suggests, does all the administration work for the company; including all the accounts. She is a Partner in the company and has been known to help out with some manual work as well, such as painting, tiling and cleaning up after job completion. Incidentally, Libby is also a Publishing Training Centre Qualified Proofreader, who works under the name 'Storm Proof' (so called because her middle name is Storm, which is a well-known seafaring family of Robin Hood's Bay) so remember the name, should you require the services of a Proofreader.
